Run in the Country 1/2 Marathon

Yesterday on my birthday I participated in my second 1/2 Marthon, this one with my nephew (13) and some other friends. Previously my first was the Eugene Marathon in April. I also got to test out the new sustainable refillable single shot flask for liquid gold. We are prototyping it and also an arm band that will hold the single shots while you run. LG definitely helped prevent the crash in miles 7 through 10.The weather was perfect, about 75 degrees and not much wind. I was able to PR by 5:32 over my Eugene Marathon time and achieve a time of 1:32:05. My next goal will be 1:28:25 in September. My newphew ran 1:45:59 for his first ever 1/2, pretty ridiculous if you ask me.I am quickly becoming a fan of the refillable single shot because it maintains our ideals about liquid gold namely not using excess packaging that is waste) all while postively impacting performance. The arm band is really comfortable and once you are running don't notice it or the liquid gold are there. The single shot dispenses easily and without any mess which rocks!I am looking forward to more trials more PR's. Hope you are too!Alan
